What you get

Selling without losing people at checkout

Customers pay the way they already pay

MTN and Airtel mobile money through DGateway for local buyers, Visa and Mastercard through Stripe for everyone else. A checkout that only takes cards quietly loses most of Uganda.

Two currencies, one product

Show UGX 240,000 at home and roughly $63 abroad from the same listing, so nobody has to open a converter mid-purchase and think again about the whole thing.

Digital goods deliver themselves

A download, a course enrolment or a licence key goes out the instant payment clears. Physical orders drop into a fulfilment list with the delivery details attached.

One orders list, not four inboxes

Every sale — whichever payment method, whichever currency — sits in the same list with the buyer linked to their contact record and their whole purchase history.

How it works

Putting a product on sale

  1. Add the product

A name, a few photos, an honest description and what someone gets. Mark it digital, physical or a service so the checkout knows what to ask for.

  2. Set your prices

Enter the shilling price and the dollar price, add a coupon if you are running a promotion, and decide whether stock levels should be counted down.

  3. Put it where people are

Add it to your storefront, drop it into a funnel, or share a direct checkout link on WhatsApp — the same product, three doors in.

  4. Get paid and deliver

The money settles to your own accounts, the buyer gets their receipt, and digital items unlock on their own while you pack the physical ones.

In practice

What people are selling

  • A boutique in Kabalagala

Ankara pieces paid for by mobile money, delivered by boda the same day.

  • A music producer

Beat packs bought in dollars at 1am and downloaded before he wakes up.

  • An agro-vet shop

Feed and supplies ordered ahead, paid on Airtel, collected on Saturday.

Questions

Products & Orders, answered

The things people ask us before they move their business across.

  • No. Payments settle into your own mobile money and Stripe accounts. GritCMS records the order, tells you it happened and unlocks whatever the customer bought — the cash never sits with us.

  • You pay whatever your mobile money provider and Stripe charge per transaction, exactly as you would anywhere else. We do not take a percentage of your sales on top; the subscription is the whole cost from our side.

  • Yes. Collect the delivery address and phone number at checkout, set your own delivery charges by area, and work through the fulfilment list marking orders as sent.

  • Yes — a percentage or a fixed amount off, limited to certain products, capped at a number of uses, or expiring on a date. Each code reports what it brought in, so you can tell a promotion from a giveaway.

  • Record the refund against the order and any access it granted is withdrawn, so a refunded course buyer stops being an enrolled student. The money itself is returned through the payment provider you were paid by.
